I have a friend who is trying to register so he can play emulator but he is not receiving his valification email. How long does it usally take?

Depending on what kind of e-mail service he is using, it can take anywhere from 10 seconds to 48 hours or more. For example, www.poormail.com, as a free web-based e-mail, would have a slower server than one that made their customers pay so they could have better technology. So long story short, he needs a better e-mail provider.
