Server Type -Need your Opinions-
 

Ok, as for my next question: Would you personally rather play on a server that was exactly like EverQuest Live with little custom content, or play on a server with a custom storyline, custom weapons, custom quests, events, etc. Please post your opinions and thoughts as well as your answer.

i think the custom server would be awesome... i would absolutely LOVE to have a robe with a hood and some cool lookin staff. I also think it would be cool if players were able to submit content like skins, ideas, or quests. Then have a monthly patch or something with all the new things in it. Im a big sucker for vanity in RPG's - anyway, just an idea /shrug

personally I don't want to play on an exact replica server. I like the idea that people are customizing it, making it more fun. If I wanted to play the REAL EQ, I would pay for it, and work my ass off grinding to 65...

ya custom is way way better like really who wants to play it if its exactly like Eqlive that would suck so with all custom made stuff you dono wot yer looking forward to and thats wot makes it more fun intead of having to move to the new server playing it and knowing where everything is wot everything does and so on so custom would be a hell of a lot better

Thanks for your opinions everyone, this will help us decide what type of server to run. Look forward to seeing Draclian Signus up soon, it will be fully custom legit, with an experience modifier of x3, so no more slow leveling!

I'm sick and tired of playing in the same EQLive content again and again, as I've done for the last two years. I've seen everything, so I want to see something new :D

awesome, so what about the custom skins and stuff?? any way that we could get a few hooded robes? i really dont know why SOE didnt put any in...

and i love the x3 exp mod thing, that way... its still fun to level up, and you have a sense of accomplishment still

Yes, I could make a few hoods, but they would look like something out of NwN, and that isn't cool, so we're probably gonna have to do without them. As for some ideas I didn't post, you can have them when and if you can help us out. We are currently hiring GMs, so please fill out the form on the site if you are interested. I would give out the ideas here, but we've already had some of our content stolen and I can't have that happen again.

i think i speak for a LOT of people when i say we want a simple pvp server that is CLASS BALANCED AND GEARED TOWARDS **PVP** NOT PVE

this seems to be a magical goal that is never attained no matter how many different pvp servers are opened (including guildwars)

yeah i wasnt sure how hard making hoods would actually be. (making them look good anyway) im an idiot when it comes to that stuff.

and i think some sort of PvP thing would be cool, not just leveling up all the time. I havnt played on the guildwars server before because, sadly, I had already updated. But i think some sort of "teams" thing would be cool where players could controll territory and try to defend it and raid other ones... (think thats what guildwars is basically)

EQlive is just to damn hard at least for me it was i could never get anything that great and after 4 years of playing i was still poor :\

EQ live is like a bad dream to me now, i finally got off the evercrack heroin a few months ago...i had been playing since day one.... 3 level 65's and a few other 60+ it was insane...

ready for somthing new, and alot more fun!
