Official EQEmu Test Server
 

The test server has been updated to comply with the Feb 18th patch. Please stop by and report any bugs you find to this thread or the other thread in the Bug Reports forum.

If you are having problems connecting to the server, one of two things could be going on:

1. You did not patch properly or have corrupt EQ files. Fully re-patch using the Complete File Check option, then delete all *.txc and *.opt files from your EverQuest directory.

2. The server could be under heavy load or has hit the 50 user limit.


***Remeber: Always back up your EverQuest folder BEFORE patching, every time.

Had to take the server down temporarily lol.. characters that were previously made are getting deleted when u log in hehehe.. working on a fix right now, shouldnt take too long.

1017 Error with every server
 

I am constently getting 1017 errors with any server i'm trying to connect to. I just patched today (2/19/04) if anyone has any suggestions please reply

1027 error
 

If you just patched today you will probably only be able to get on a select few servers, mainly the test server which is down right now. The only servers you can access is the ones with .5 as the last version number, .3 and .2 will not work for you.

Servers back up now.. give it a try. read the first post if you have issues connecting.

not really sure here , i made a back up of my EQemu folder named that 1 EQemu2 , patched my first Emu folder deleted the .txc and .opt files like posted but get bad user name or pass word error .. when tring to connect with the backed up folder emu2 i get to char select screen but when try to get in im sent back to server select ,,
took out the .txc and .opt from that 1 as well but its still the same
get sent back to server select ,, i looked around to see if anyone was having this prob and if ther ewas a answer in a post somewhere but couldnt see any ,, any help would be great saved the .txc and .opt file case i have to put them back

if my prob has been answered somewhere i real sorry could you please direct me to that post

you need to change eqhost.txt when you patch.

i did that .. here is what i did to get in finally ... next to eqhost.txt was a file i never seen there called eqhost.live.txt i copied it then deleted it (copy was just incase) well i got in and never had to put it back
