Is there a way to get files without patching?
 

I need to know how I can get files from EQ live (EX: overthere.s3d)

Now,I went and made a server....but its at 0.5.0....and I needed the files for basic zones,and it DID give me the files...but it patched,duh...now I cant connect to my server....Dammit.

So,can I patch without having to go to 0.5.5 DR1 server only status? Or am I in the alpha-Red,?

Pretty much SOL until 0.5.5 DR 1 comes out as a release... And you SHOULD be aware, that asking for files for the eqclient is a bannable offense (first time, no warning or anything), which is stated in the rules of the board. Just letting you know, so you dont do it again....

Just make a second install of EQ. Patch that install. Copy any of the files you need to the unpatched installation.

eqgmae gets patched along the way..no matter how ya try to beat it..your still SOL..sorry no way to get arround it(that wont get ya banned).

Yes eqgame aslo gets patched when oyu run the patcher. But if you do as he suggested and patch a copy of your directory you will have all the latest zone files and be able to copy those over to your old directory and use those with the older version. Just don't copy any of the executable or gui files.

All depends on if you kept a EQ dir backup before you patched... you kept a EQ dir backup aye? =/
