Server setup no errors in zone.exe or world.exe but 1017 err
 

Ok so everything is all setup so far everything in the world.exe and zone.exe is coming up flawless but there is a flaw somewhere...I am still getting a 1017 error when I try to connect to my server through eqemu login servers.

I have tried changing my zone.exe ip to 127.0.0.1, 68.62.95.0 (my external ip from whatismyip.com), and also 192.168.0.3 the ip that mysql says I have in the DB editer window.

I know this whole 1017 thing is beat to hell but I havnt found anything useful on the 1017 error that has to do with a server connection through eqlogin.emulator servers.

Thanks for anything you can help me with I am gonna get this up and working I am determined to do it so lol please dont make me figure out this whole thing I am not to hot with this mysql and eqemu thing I am just running on water with these forum posts :lol:

[Edit] The server is "Draxxus Resurection" if that could help at all...maybe you can get on it if you have a eq version from the 5.3 times maybe mine is screwed up atleast try getting on the server and letting me know what happens :)

Ok the error thread didnt have much about 5.3 all it had was stuff on 5.5 for my 1017 error that i am beginning to love so much :)

So I am gonna move the server to my main network computer and then turn off my network and internet sharing and see where that gets me. Although I dont think this will help I will try it if someone has any ideas for me to try when I get home please put them in I would like to give them a shot to get this thing working.

1017 IS a generic error that applies to ALL versions of EQEMu. That is why the error on the guide has NOT been updated.. If you follow the link that is in the error explanation you will get to a thread with someone that is probably using 0.5.3...

In a nutshell, if you patched up to Feb 10th or later, and you are trying to run 0.5.3, then THAT is why you are getting the error... (which IS in the error guide as "Version Error"....)

Actually I have 5.3 and 5.5 and both work great i dont even have a shortcut to anything but eqgame.exe and in its target as soon as I make a shortcut to it it gets "patchme" tagged right on it so I know it will NOT get patched.

I used 5.3 that day and everyday for the past week. Trust me it words :D

And a lot of that 1017 is based from account problems mostly anyways.

Are you saying that you believe YOUR problem is account based?

Ok what version of the emu are you trying to run? What is the last date you patched to EQlive?
1017 is (most )commonly a version error..You need to give me the information specific to the server you are having a problem with.. If you can run 0.5.3, and play on it, then you are paatched to THAT version of the emu. If you an play on that server but CANT play on 0.5.5, then it is a version error.. Meaning you are not patched up to the most current version of EQlive...
