If you contact your ISP or take a look on their website I'm sure they can tell you if they allow them, if they do it's obviously your router. :P |
It's probably your router that doesn't allow the tcp paths. Go to your preferences (linksys common is 192.168.2.1 pass - admin) and port forward the tcp and udp paths to your internal ip... or just dmz it

On some routers you have to do both forward AND dmz....(unfortunately).

The proper way to setup Port Forwarding on a Router...
Thats not common, but possible
This shoud help a bit... I was running into the same issue and found no help on the forums about this, so i decided to do a little investigating I spent a little time playing with DMZ host ( http://whatis.techtarget.com/definit...3891%2C00.html ) and netstat and figured out what ports im actually using and need to forward To run a server you need the following ports forwarded: -Port: 9000 tcp/udp -Port: 5999 tcp/udp -All zone ports i.e.: 7995-7999 tcp/udp, or in other words, whatever ports you have for zones That should be it, usually dial-up and dsl isp's are picky as far as what is going on in their network, dsl not so much though Hope this helps a bit Laterz, Massa 8) ___________________ Buffalo Soldier ServerOp |
