after clicking play everquest, it loads up the character select screen; the only problem with this is that there is no character selection bar. There is just a naked human that says load [0 Warrior] and the only you can do is hit escape.

any clue-in's would be a great help!

That is hands down the most noobish question I have seen on these boards. That's not an EQEMu noob question...that was a straight up EQ noob question. Wow...I'm in shock.

Um let me restate the problem.

AH, well that's more like it. :) Now are you running your own server or playing on another one? What version is it? (ie 5.2, 5.3, 5.5) Server Name?

Im trying to get onto Dils Server.. 0.5.5-dr1 i believe

May have a corrupt file in your EQ install....I'd say to reinstall and patch, but I'm not sure if the patch that came out today breaks EQEMu or not...but then again, if you can't make a character, I guess you have nothing to lose. :)

Someone else may have another suggestion though...and try another server as well to be sure it's not a problem on his end.

If you want to try to reinstall and patch again, make a backup of your eqgame and possibly a few others ( I'm not sure which) Maybe someone who knows a little more can help with what to backup. I'm sure that I've read that even if you patch and it breaks the EMU, as long as you have certain files saved, you can just replace the new patched ones with the old ones and it will still work..... It's worth a shot if you're gonna have to patch anyways.
