Can't make items
 

I downloaded the newest item dump and now I can't make items with Mangoo's item editor 1.7... Whats wrong lol

Use Sandy's item editor from 3rd party tools forum....

damn samandhi! EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM I see posted has your name in it! You truly do know everything :P However, if I may point out, you assume that the error is the user's DB or computer WAY too much lol. Anyway, thx for the support on my past posts...

Thank you for the vote of confidence. I dont believe that the error lies in the db OR anything you are doing, I was instead thinking (not knowing ) that there is an incompatability between the newest DB's and the old item editor. I dont know this for a fact, but the easiest solution is to try one that is pretty new and see if you have the same problems... If it solves your problem, then nuff' said, if not then we'll have to dig a little deeper <smile>.... Hope that suggestion helped you out.

Oh and BTW, the reason I assume (as you say) that most errors are on the user's part, either on their computer or the way they are trying to manipulate things, is because I use all the same things that posters are using, and I have NOT any problems at all, other than the bugs that are known issues.... :)

I dont have this problem but i didnt see anything in 3rd party tools about Sandy's Item Editor, theres a loot editor and packet collector type thing but no item editor :?

AAAAH but you are right.. That is NOT an item editor but a loot editor... Sorry.. I think that EQAdmin has an item editor function, unless I am mistaken (havent used it for some time so could be wrong). .....

Yes eqadmin does, but I've heard that it doesn't work either.

That could very well be, with all the changing done lately just to keep up with eqlive... Some of the tables have changed in the db and that is problaby what is breaking the item editors... Not totally sure... Go to 3rd party tools and re-ask the question about it.. One of the utility gods will surely help...:)

I use the EQEmu Admin Tool to edit items and it works fine with EQEmu 0.5.5 DR1.
