Please tell me that people aren't still paying hundreds and thousands of dollars for a make believe character in a make believe world with make believe loot and make believe money and make believe friends...

$1000+ ???? WTF!?!? Oh well...a word to the wise...

In a somewhat related story about buying/selling accounts -

I had a friend who sold an account (he was a lvl 53 mage at the time) before Luclin came out. Anyway, he got 650 bucks for his account and then several months later, out of curiousity he tries to log into his account...and it worked. So he changes the password and credit card info and starts playing again. Haha! So the lesson to be learned is this: Don't buy make believe crap... or someone will take it back from you and keep your real money to boot. :)

That's just crazy... I have trouble spending $40 on a game, much less $1000. I can't believe that people would spend that kind of money. Why not get a second computer, or a big screen tv, or a bunch of $1's and head down to the nearest nudie bar? Much better ways to spend money :-)

I'd prefer a second computer to the nudie bar any day...well...it woudl be a fourth computer. But I'd give it just as much love as the other three... ;)

I would love a second computer..... BUT, I work for my wifes income, so........ Well, at least the wife will let me go to the bars every now and then. Guess I can't complain :)

Hmm, if you want to really outsmart a stupid person.. Put up a auction for a eqemu character (say eqlive though)...type in #level 65, bam character now worth over 1000 dollars...type in #setallskills 252, bam..character now worth 2500 bucks...equip with some server equiptment to get hp over 5k and (if caster) FT 15..then bam, account worth about $4000..

Tell them to change their eqhost and log on that one server, then BAM..free $4000 for you np np..you can add another 3000 if you are GM, haha.

I wonder if a person would be stupid enough to fall for that...oh well... Happy i'm not a scamer....lol.

for every scam there is at least 5 suckers who will fall for it... madee my brother pay me 10 bucks to tell him how i managed to get a 65 warr with epics and elemental gear ... and how i was soloing in vex thal =P
