i tried to help a friend get a server started via instant messenger
and after getting all the way thru it world.exe and boot5zone.bat just flash when tried to be opened anyone have a clue here maybe ??

Make sure the DB is sourced correctly, as most times when you get that happening, that is the problem... Will need more info to better assist...

You can get the error its giving you without it flashing by going into cmd.

Code:

cd \eqemu

world.exe

and then

Code:

cd\eqemu

boot5zones.bat

They wont disappear when you run them and you can get the error. But yes what sam said is true, it usually is a database error.

Ran the world.exe and got this...

make sure u dont have any spaces after any lines in loginserver.ini

[Edited] I found the problom the Binaries the person told me to use were the whole problom i got bored and i downloaded the ones the tatorial says to use and opened world and loaded right up thanks for the help though
