If you need EQEmu files ...

... like
- Compiled EQEmu 0.5.5 DR1
- Compiled Zone.exe with PERL enabled
- Quest file for EQEmu

Just go on my website, DOWNLOAD section on the left.
I will release a tutorial soon on my website linked to my files with screenshots explaining how to set up a server, but i have to finish my website first.

In the hope that will help some.

IANAL, but I don't think you can use SOE images, like the EQ logo. Thanks for contributing to the community, though. Looks good so far. :)

You get to support everything.

I have been waiting for a post like this for a long time. Can't wait to try it!

Thanks for the file!

That is what I told the last bunch that wanted to throw the binaries around like they were totally supported.. hehe

Khan > All :)

Thanks Khan!

You don't have to support anything. You're making a contribution so peopel can actually work on their servers. It's much appreciated.

Speaking of "supported" binaries. What exactly does that mean? Is there a forum that I don't know about that only devs reply? I'm pretty sure that more than 50% of the "support" is done by non-devs. That estimate is generous...

As far as I can tell it's mostly the community that is doing the support. Don't get me wrong. I'm not belittling the devs, but let's be realistic about who is doing "support".

samandhi 04-04-2004 02:45 AM

What you have seen in the way of support Rex, IS from the community, because nobody listened to the NO support clause attatched to the 0.5.5 source files... Hence NO dev support... I have semi-broken my own rule and have been supporting them, but the Devs AND admins used to help out a lot in the way of support before... It is just a timing thing that, that is all you have seen (timing as in when you joined and blah blah blah...)...

Plus, two of the BIG supporters have left (Mattmeck, and Trumpcard)... (which is NOT to say there was no other support..)

NM as it appears 0.5.5 is released now, makes the WHOLE conversation about it irrelevant..:)

RexChaos 04-04-2004 02:55 AM

So now that 5.5 is out do we have the supportz? :) And Sam, thank you for all your support. You're a damn good guy and all that stuff.

KhaN 04-04-2004 03:02 AM

I put 0.5.5DR1 PERL bin on my website because there a lots of peoples have the knowledge to use them but dont have a compiler, or dont know how to use one, i was one of them 1 week ago.

I own a company, and i understand your and Shawn point of view.
But topic is close because 0.5.5 is out, WEEEEE, thanks EQEmu Team :)

I would imagine the answer is YES>>>:)

Thanks, just trying to do MY part in making EQEMu better overall for everyone, and since I am too damn dumb to do anything but support....... <smile>

I need to talk to Windcatcher about compiling a ZP/perl enabled set of binaries... I have the perl enabled binaries (which are also on the link that was released BTW), but not sure what I need to include for ZP binaries...:)

*NOTE- I have updated my error guide to reflect the release of 5.5 and have included a link (which you can also get from the news post).
