How many ServerOps, Linux Advantages, GoD, and Patching?

Hey guys,

With a little help I have my server going so now I'm going to be firing off some questions about running it if I can't find the answers quickly.

Question for now:

(1) How many serverops can I create?

I have a best friend who is going to help me run the server and probably setup his own eventually.

(2) What the advantages of serverop status over GM status for helping with a server?

(3) Apart from the obvious reasons for running a Linux server (security, stability, etc), are there any other reasons to run the server on Linux?

(4) When the EMU is updated to match SOE's patches, will that "break" non-patched EQ users forcing them to update?

Obviously, the users can just patch EQ up to date, but I'm just asking.

Yes, I have both a DVD-RW backup of pre 4/14/04 EQ and have a system restore point set before the patch (I'm on the Dev Team for MySEQ so I keep pre-patch backups just in case).

(5) I have GoD downloaded, but if I try to create a Berzerker on my own server I get the "must subscribe to GoD..." message. What's up with that?

I was able to login to a dev server and create a Berzerker even though I haven't actually purchased GoD.

Thanks in advance for the answers. Many of these questions have probably been asked. I'll search some more and if I discover the answers, I'll reply here to reflect that... 8)

1) Infinite as far as I know

2) higher status allows them to use more commands.

3) No, as far as I know

4) Not necissarily, but it is possible if the change to EQEMu drastically changed the way EQEMu operates. i.e. some new version release.

5) In the database goto the Variables table and set expansions to 255, that will enable everything.
