eqgame patchme, eqw etc... no need!
 

I noticed most people are trying to use eqw or eqgame patchme to fix their "you must run the patcher" problems. I also had this problem in EQEmu and that other emulator out there, and the way I solved it was this:

1. Run the normal EQ patcher (EverQuest.exe).
1a. Do NOT hit play yet.
2. Replace your eqhost.txt file in Explorer.
3. Hit Play

You have to do this EACH TIME, but it completly got rid of my "cannot connect must run patcher" problem. For those having problems try this and tell me what happens.

Sometimes the server has a problem and causes the re-patch message to pop-up. restarting EQW fixes this for some people.

Exactly the point I have been trying to make in the other posts. There is no need to re-run the patch. It is a loss of connectivity problem between the login server and the world server.

Doing this is exactly the same as doing eqgame patchme.

What happens is the patch program runs eqgame patchme when it terminates.
