Whats Causing This Problem???
Ok I am not a tech guy and dontn know where to even start trying to look for the cause of this problem.
Back in the old days when krushers server was up, I logged in and played just fine with the exception of a few crashes when zoning. This time around, I log in find, I get to the character selection screen, choose one to play and log in, I never make it into the game. I always crash out back to server selection. Whats causing this ya think? Oh and I am playing EQlive just fine right now. |
Most likely because you are trying to play on servers not compatible with the latest version of the EQ client. Try servers that are version 5.7 DR 2
|
I dont think so
I do not think thats the problem, although I do not remember what version these servers ran off of. I tried to enter 5-6 various servers and everytime I tried I crashed out.

Hey Damaja. If you have downloaded the very latest patch of EQ, some servers may not work for you. You can only join 5.7 DR1 servers. Also, if you havent patched for a while, they won't work for you either.

well
Ok well I am currently playing on Live EQ and am patched all the way up to current. I am at this very moment on my main computer logging into Guild Wars. Waiting now to see if I get in.
Same thing just happened, I made it to the character selection screen and click my toon to enter and it BEGINS to log me in but then crashes back to server selection. Just to make sure its not a fluke, I logged into to the Eemu test server as well. I log into that server just fine. Why am I crashing on other servers but I can log into the official test server for the emu just fine? |
the test server has the most recent patch on it. 5.7 DR2
those will be the only ones you can get into atm |

Well that sucks, when will the other servers change over to this?
|
When they do. Many servers have custom code that has to be integrated into the new code before they can recompile and upgrade and that takes time.
