Server with working AAs and certain gm commands...
What's a server that has a working AA system, and GM commands including #level 65, summoning items, and zone translocation? I wanna just AA like I used to on reg eq.

Doesn't exist.
AA's haven't been implemented yet. We have all the data for them (well, except for GoD) but there's now way to "turn them on" yet. |

ETA on the implementation of the AA system? That'll be when it goes from a screw-around type of gameplay when I'm bored, to having an actual point.

The devs have said that they need people on EQLive to run their packet collector while getting/using AAs before they can implement them.
I guess it's hard to find a 50+ char willing to run the packet collector. :( Personally I'd help, but I'm only 35. |
AAs work on 5.3 or before servers which is only Winters Roar I think. And if you happen to have a character that already has AAs on a server, they still work even though you can't buy new ones.

I've been messing around with the alt_adv column in the character_ table. I now have a character with 63 points to EACH AA ability! :twisted: Looks like they still work, we just can't get AA exp. :roll: |
Wow, I'm really suprised your character actually works now with way to many points in each ability than are possible. I wonder, does each ability work much better than it should normally max out at since you are higher than the max?

I would try to collect for AA's, but all the AA's I've purchased on Live have been passive. And it'll be a bit before I purchase another one... damn grinding for Endless Quiver...
Can someone explain why we can't just log onto an Emu server, turn on the packet collector, give ourselves a bunch of AA exp, then bring up the AA window and attempt to purchase a few and see what the packet collector logs when we do? Granted they won't actually purchase if the server doesn't know what it's seeing, but we at least log what the client's trying to say. |
Because you can't even try to purchase an AA on any Emu server because the server doesn't even know the packet format for telling you how many points you have to spend. You can turn AA xp up to 100% and kill tons of stuff and you will get AA points and the server will tell you this in the xp text, but no matter what when you look at the AA window it will say 0 points.

Running the packet collector..
So the devs want people to run the packet collector? Do we have to run it before and while we buy AAs and stuff? Cuz I have a few chars capable of AAs, passive and non..and I have a few accounts that I can use to grind out a couple and do some research for ya..lemme know.

Need feedback from the Dev's on EXACTLY what information they would need taken by the packet collector.
IE: EQLive character Dinging the AA points, EQLive character Buying an AA ability, Ect. I would run the packetcollecter if i knew when to do it and stuff. |
They've said many times that all they need is buying an AA and activating an AA that requires activation.
