Same crash every time
 

Hi,

My brother actively plays EQ on Sony servers, I wanted to try EQ Emu, so I copied the directory to make a Live and an Emu directory. Changed the host file to point to the Emu servers, as per the following post:

I can login and view the server select screen easily enough, it's when I hit Play that the trouble starts.

The loading bar gets up to "Loading Armour and Equipment" and EQ promptly goes zonk - back to Windows desktop. My guess is that because my EQEmu directory is a recent copy of a Live game, there's some stuff in there that I shouldn't have.

are you trying to log in dr2 servers?

This happens, no matter what server I pick. Some servers return a 1017 anyway, I'm still working on that. But if the server doesn't return a 1017, it'll crash at Armor and Equipment.

Possibly you are missing some fles that failed to copy over for some reason. Try running the patcher on your copied directory adn make sure to do the complete file check option.

I used to have this problem, update your drivers... also make sure you have Direct X 9.... if the other suggestions dont work...

Driver-wise and DX wise everything is fine, because the Live EQ directory works. Am trying full file check now. Thanks for tips!
