Anyone have any thoughts?

So far, I compiled EQEmu-0.5.7-DR2 with no problems. All settings in the ini files appear to be in order. Also, the characters created are in the database. But even if i reboot/relog they dont show up. World.exe tries to delete them when its restarted. Says "Found bogus character 'character name' yadda yadda .. deleting".

And no, I havent patched the latest patch. :)

One more thing,

I'm running the server on the same machine I am trying to login with. Using EQWindows to login. No router/firewall installed. Database installed no problems and no errors during startup.

I would say patch to Live cause that fixed it for me, but that would cause you not to be able to play on EQ because of the patch today. I would just wait till the Devs come out with a fix for the latest patch and then upgrade your server and patch to Live.

Ok,

Well I guess I'll toy around with it till a new patch.

A+ forum and emulator btw.
Im very impressed with the community and dedication here. Loving every minute of it. :)

Same prob

I have same error except mine says it receives 140 and expects 144, and at the end of that block of (looks like hex) it's missing the last 4 double digits.

follow the instructions found in both:

http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/vie...fa44cb35baa2fc

and

http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/vie...fa44cb35baa2fc

that should sort it.

Yes, i should have done a follow-up.

Those two links fix the problem perfectly.

Thanks for the fix! :D

not a problem, went through all that myself, took a while to get it all right.
