Benden Weyr Non-Legit now works with the live patch only

As someone bumped this thread I should point out that the server
doesn't work with live patch any longer.

I updated my server to the 9th May code from cvs.biosprite.net so it now only works with the current EQ live patch (as of the time of writing). Just a heads up for those who might be wondering why they can't get on if they haven't patched.

where can i get the patch?
 

I love your server, but... i dunno where to get the patch!? :shock: iv been looking all over the site if you can send the link to the patch it would be great thanks "Celies, Anad, Angia" :P

I mean 'Patch to live', i.e. run everquest.exe to download the latest patch from Sony, then change your eqhost.txt back to point to the eqemu servers,

Zones down?
 

:D Thanks for the help, I got it up and working BUT... now everytime you go LD a zone goes down so all my charecters are locked out I dunno if you noticed the problem yet but if you have then ignore this but its kinda just a heads up :oops:

I am also experienceing the same problem. I can stay connected for about 15-30 min tops then go LD and the zone becomes unavailable. This has happend in 5 different zones. Maybe take a look and see whats up please?

Sorry about that, the server crashed due to a new bug related to environmental damage.
I have altered the code to avoid that and brought the server back up.
If you find yourself knocked unconscious due to enviromental damage, just /target <yourself>, then #kill.

When i go to make a chracter it says zone not avalible
any help?

Thats server side , it's probably fixed now (means all the zone servers are full)

Weird, i never had that problem on his server. Ive always LDed Crashed Froze on other servers but when im on his it works awesome. i Havent LDed Frozen or Crashed once...*shrugs*

Dunno why, kinda weird. Gonna spend a couple of minutes tomorrow to find out the number for the atlantean caster freaks. Its annoyin me lol

Ok I followed your instructions as far as they went Derision, but then I try to run EQ through EQW for some reason the mouse won't control the EQ pointer. It's like when you're playing and then hit the command to release the mouse, but it won't restore the mouse to the game (only it never starts off being 'attached' to the the EQ pointer) , so I can't even get passed the "accept/decline" page.

What do you use to run the game? everquest.exe always restores the eqhost.txt when you run it and of course WRPatcher restores the files to its norm. I've been looking for a non-legit server to play around with races/classes to get a feel for what I would want to put the endless hours into on a legit server and yours is the only one that I've found any information on.

Any help would be appreciated.


Oh and btw, Tristus thanks for increasing the page width, it's annoying as hell. :x

The instructions I posted up above are out-dated,
they applied to the previous patch, before the login process
was changed. There are plenty of posts in the eqemu/news
and general support forums on what your eqhost.txt needs to be
for the latest patch.

Also, your shortcut needs to be eqgame.exe patchme, not everquest.exe patchme.

And finally, as this this thread is old, my server doesn't currently
work with the live patch. I am waiting for DR4 to become more
playable before I upgrade.

I see. Well thanks anyway, the 'patchme' thing was very good to know.

Hopefully he took it down to do some work to it.
