compiling question
 

I'm using EQemu as a fun way to learn/advance in C++, i know the basics, but i'm stumped. I went to compile the 5.7 D2 source code and just guessing, i opened up 20-30 files in the download and i'm not sure what to do from there.

I tried to build them, but i got an error. Some of them i couldn't compile. I ended up ctrl alt deleting out of the program (i'm using Visual C++ 6.0) because i couldn't exit while building (even tho i clicked end build several times and closed all workspaces).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ps. if there's anyone experienced in server set up and maintenance and wouldn't mine be PMing or emailing you some questions, that would be great.
