The 'new char' bug... Would that kick me to server select?
 

I had patched with the 5-5 patch, then downloaded /dev/n00b's fix. I had played on guildwars lastnite, then deleted my (stuck) character to create a new one. I now can create characters but when attempting to enter the world , I am kicked back to server select.

Is this due to the server code, or are my files corrupt possibly?

Sucks, Because I wanted to start helping iron out some bugs in the eqemu code for a certain server and now i cant get on to test myself(i dont think so anyway, havent tried local login if eqemu doesnt even work yet)

Did you patch today, because there is a new live patch.

I had played with the fix files, then the next day (the 11th) I couldnt play anymore. I could make a char, but not enter world.. not sure whats up.

You should not patch toda until people get it tested. That being said though, probably something in our files got messed up and you need to patch. So its screwed if you do and screwed if you don't. To patch you don't need an adress or anything, jsut run Everquest.exe instead of the shortcut you were told to make.

Okay... 5.7DR2 is supposed to run with /dev/n00bs fix right? I still cant connect... i bet some of my files got fubared :(

Since there is a very small number of people on Images server tonight I think there are others. I for one have 3 different computers that I connect depending on where I am and I can't connect with any of them today. I think it is server side and waiting to hear something about a fix
