how do i change the name under the merchant name, (EQEmu*)?
 

I'm wanting to change the name under the merchant's name.. the one that currently says something like (EQEmuShopkeeper) or something to that effect. I have searched the forums here and haven't found anything to this effect. I also have been searching thru the 5.7 source code and part of the sql db... My brains are about fried and I am not sure where to go from here. Can anyone help me please... :shock:

spawn a new merchant in its place with the name you want?

In /zone/mob.cpp do a search for "EQEmu Shopkeeper"
you will find 2 different lines that has that. Change them both to whatever you want.

You can do that if you have the source code not on a already compiled version.

I changed my shopkeepers and bankers. My shopkeepers utilize the last name to display "General Supplies" or whatever. Bankers say, well, um, "Banker".... :P

But I give EQEmu credit in my MOTD!
