This applies to me as the website loads everytime I click on the account button. Do you have any kind of timeline for when this will no longer be an issue or perhaps some work around that is not listed in the "HOWTO: Play On EQEMu" post? http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/vie...400a705f5aab62

Now the only server it works with is the winters roar one *so far*

Do i need any ports open on my firewall? I fixed the eqhost thing like it said but i still get a "Error 1001: Cannot connect to Everquest login server" to make a new account.

Thanks for the help MCG. However now I'm having the error 1001 issue as well. The wrpatcher changed the eghost.txt to
[Registration Servers]
{
"register.eqemulator.net:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin4.eqemulator.net:5997"
}

when I leave this as is I get the error 1001 and when I change it back to what is recommended here there is no response at all basically it locks up. To the best of my knowledge there is no firewall on my system. Any ideas on what I can do next?

Hmmmm here is what I did.

I installed all the games up to planes of power.

I got an account at eq.

I accidently ran it before I saw this site and patched all the way up.

Then I was told to go the site I told you.

I ran the wr patcher. When it was done patching, clicked on run.

Then I click on account, new account and create a new account , go through registration, using the same steps they describe in the how to forumn. (To include putting in my activation code)


I then used the character fix from the winter wolf site.

I got in the game just fine. I have windows XP with my firewall enabled and no problems.

I am in the game on the winter server with my level 1 character now.

Other than that I dont know how to help you.

I'm running windows XP with no firewall on a shared cable connection.

If anyone else has any ideas I'll be very appriecative to hear them.

Go to www.EQEmulator.net. You

Yep I've done all of that and it still won't connect after I hit new account. I'm at a total loss as to what to do.

It will only let you play on 0.5.3 servers, how do you get to play on 0.5.5 and 0.5.7 servers?

Run the eq live patcher then follow the steps to play on the 5.7 DR4 servers. The Winters Roar patcher only lets you play on 5.3.
