5.7 DR4 problems

I'm able to get the server up and running on both the eqemulator.net server list and with the minilogin but everytime I go to make a character World.exe crashes after I try to enter the game.

The last 2 lines put out by World.exe are

Quote:

Found 0 errors in character creation request
[status] Found starting location in start_zones
After those two lines windows comes up with an error that says World.exe encountered problems and needs to close.

I'm using the MW_057DR2_alpha_1 database.

Tangential question: What settings are you using for minilogin to work with the latest login changes?

Not using any special settings but I'm not using the new login interface when I use with minilogin with DR4. It's patched up to the 26th but uses the pre-18th login.

You might need to update your database, due to the changes from dr2 to dr3 (i think it was). There may even have been additions of new fields in DR4. Some missing fields will cause world.exe to crash when you try to load.

Anyone know if any changes were made to the database between DR2 and 4?

DR4

Looks good, works great. Logged into the test server created the character, got into the world, fought a few mobs.

Only bugs:

Obviously no feedback to the interface. No text messages from killing mobs, I.E. "Unamed person has killed xxx mob".

"Cannot find text 015"

No character animations while fighting, looks like you are just standing there.

Looks like he has it set up so that the character are invincible. Health bar moves when you ding, but not during fight, might just be how he has it set up.

All these bugs are known because the opcodes for them got changed so the client is not recognising them. They are being worked on and will get done faster if people packet collect stuff like this on live.

No live account but I can write CPP and help debug.
