EQEMu New Account Registration Method

We are slowly moving to the new login server system.. therefore we have coded a new method of registering new accounts for use with the servers....

1. First you must edit your eqhost.txt to contain

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5995

2. Then download this file and put in your EverQuest folder [ Overwrite the current one ]

http://www.eqemulator.net/eqlsClient.ini

3. Load up EverQuest via the "patchme" method.

4. Click on New Account... let the page load...

The information that is needed is obvious...
You can get your Account Key.. by logging into the forums.. clicking on "Profile" and you can grab your key to use there...

If you do not want to edit your eqlsClient.ini file the link to the registration is

http://www.eqemulator.net/eqaccount.php

have fun.. if you have any problems.. pm me or something

Any way to undo?

I was an idiot and saved the eqlsClient file without saving the older one. I can't even connect... Does anyone have the code for the eqlsClient file for live? I would really appreciate that, as well as the eqhost file...
ty =)

That was happening to me as well.

What worked for me was taking the eqhost.txt file deleting everything except the

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5995

and making it read only.

Realmhunter 05-30-2004 06:10 PM

I went in and made it read only and still I crash to desk top. =\

Thraphelga 05-30-2004 06:16 PM

Same here, crashing to desktop when attempting to login.... *sigh* just when I thought I was finally going to get tp play too....

Thraphelga 05-30-2004 06:22 PM

Okay, I'm kinda proud of myself for figuring this one out xP
Go into the eqhost.txt and delete everything like the other guy said... Even the empty spaces after each line.... and make it read only. Yay! :lol:

Realmhunter 05-30-2004 06:38 PM

/sigh... Still crashing. =\
