After 4 Years of Normal EQ, YOur telling me I can #makelvl 65 simply by a keystroke and #summomitem at will :lol:

Can I become a GM also? :P

No seriously..whats the difference you offer than what SoE offers?

Can I do what I want solo without a guild?

Are you kidding me? The difference is EVERYTHING!! You can customize your own server, you can do pretty much anything to EQ.

As a server op, as Virus stated, you can do pretty much anything you want with customization.. Renaming zones, changing native mobs, new and custom quests, new custom items, create/modify spells.. etc etc etc...

As a player, you benefit from having different server ops doing different things. Kinda gives the same old EQ a new twist to add a lot of variety.

Just keep in mind, eqemu is still evolving and as Sony changes things in the client it sometimes breaks things in the servercode which the eqemu devs then need to find fixes for. But from the month that I've been lurking around here, I think it is an awesome project. :P

So, I did patch from the last time this week, so im thinking make 2 seperate "eq" files, the real one and the the eqmu so I still can play either one?.

I will follow the newbie guide, hopefully I can do it, should If I put my mind to it.

Nope, check out the first post on http://www.eqemulator.net/. Also, make two seperate folders for Live and Emulator so you don't keep breaking Emu.

SWEET I GOT IN, now which server (Yeah!, it works, and im quite noobish, key to doing this....RTFM....Read the F*cking Manual)

If your ranger is doing AA xp and getting points, there are some of the folks that are working on collecting AA information. If memory serves, Richardo posted about that this morning maybe in world building or general support (I guess I'm getting old, can't remember where I read it.. :P )... But if you are still playing on live, I'm sure the devs/database builders would love ya for packet collecting while you play on live... :)

Only lvl 54 not doing AA atm, not even guilded.

Was able to get onto one server, legit but the lvl requirement for items took away my fun, looking some more thanks for more time sinks....p
