newbie question...
 

just installed eq for the first time in 2 years, and ran update patch.
followed the guide step by step to play on eqemu server.
activated login account using the webpage from the login page link.
when attemtping to login eq closes.
perhaps the new patch does not work with eqemu at the moment?

i looked around some more, got it going

not sure this will help but double check and make sure you have DX 9.0 installed
