And here to your left, is the very common and clueless "EQEMulator N00b". One thing you should be careful of, is not to tell them to search. They may attack you for telling them how to find answers!

I found the files for download, but I see version 5.5 and even 5.6, which do I wish to download and not conflict with the world I have been playing in? i.e. Scorpius2k

I think it is 5.4 they are showing, if that is version listed ahead of the different worlds.

Also, do I want to download all of the files or just one of them.
I see a Configuration.zip, a Source.zip, and a Win32.zip files listed. Do I need them all? thanks in advance

Version should be 5.7 DR4

yes, and I was hoping to be to date so I dont cause conflict on those servers.

You'll probly need 2 separate eq folders if you want to play different server versions. Some big-time changes have been patched in between 5.4 and the in-development 5.7.

Sorry but the current patch files are no longer compatible with 5.6, which is why I'm saying 5.7 and not 5.6.

If your just trying to play you dont need to download the Eqemu files. You just have to download the eqlsclient, which can be found on the front page under oneo f the news sections

Aye, the downloadable files are the server files themselves and are only required if you want to setup and run a server..

To play on other servers, all you need to do is connect to the login server and play. Depending on your patch version and the version of the server you are connecting to will determine whether or not you can connect. If your patch version isn't the latest, you can't play on the 5.7-DR4 servers. There are some servers which may patch you to the correct version of the client if you use their patcher. Best thing to do is go to the servers website and look for posts on starting with their server or how-to articles to see if they have a patcher available. :wink:
