At least, you wont go in jail for playing EQEmu~

What Eqemulator does, is it it emulates a EQ server, but instead of being ran by sony it is ran by people, members of eqemu community.

Some features arebroken also, the dev's havent had time/been able to figure out a code for everything, like some tradeskills, but mainly everything major is implemented.

To set it up there are many guides, one is on front page. Then umber of people on a server varies, some servers like WR get a 100+ and some servers get few. Some servers are legit, semi-legit or non legit. Legit is like normal EQ, sometimes quicker XP or even #zone command. semi is usually #zone and #summonitem, and non-legit is like #lvl #zone #si and bunch of other commands.

Why everytime someone asks a damn question on this forum, someone has to make a smart ass remark. Can't anyone ever answer without going "You stupid ass read the guide." Or "You idiot you don't know this, search in the other threads." You know what? If you CAN'T handle it DON'T answer it. Thank you Ryder for actually answering NORMALLY.

What the hell is smartass about misinterpreting p2p to mean peer 2 peer and making a joke about going to jail over that versus eqemu, when the original poster meant pay 2 play.

It's relatively easy to get the client side working, I haven't tried server side and don't think I will.

Basically read through the guide and it's pretty straight forward, there's a little bit of outdated information in there but if you do a quick search and check the news on the front page you should be able to piece everything together from there :)

you don't need an EQ live account to play here. To download all the expansions hit advanced when you run the patcher and check all the expansions you want and it'll download them.
