Please people stop the complaining, if you patched 06/21/04 you are screwed. I advise you to check the forums before you patch next time. If you play live seperate your live and eqemu folder. I must have about 4 EQ folders. Current EQEMu, Live, Old loginservers (0.5.7-DR3 and below), and Winter's Roar.

Please do not come crying on iRC and the forums and complaing your login is hanging, but I patched, because we have no solution. I have gotten many private messages on iRC and the forums about this.

Until this patch is fixed I suggest you find another game to play or come chat with us on iRC. Download an iRC client at http://www.miRC.com/ (most popular client). Once it is downloaded just click one of the channels in my signature to join.

Saying you have to patch in the newbie guides is fine, because a clean install is not compatible and so they have to patch to get the latest files even if those aren't compatible yet.

right, then they are just going to have to wait till eqemu catches up to the live patch, sorry thats the way it goes...

How long do you expect the catching up of EQEmu to take?
How long has it taken in previous circumstances?

I can't wait till it's all fixed up again, i want to play with my friend at my house...

It takes anywhere from 1 hour to a couple months. This time is pretty complicated and has already taken longer than most times except for when GoD came out. Maybe its because a lot changed, or maybe the devs are jsut busy. No one has said what is messed up or how much progress they've made so I'd guess they are very busy.

i just set up EQEMU, i take it i will have to wait =( since todays patch is big 7/14/04, i cant wait to meet you all =)

I have a simple question...just wondering the exact files i need to backup i have a backup folder already with everquest folder completey copied but i would like to be able to do it without making a completey new everquest directory

The exes, dlls, and the entire uifiles directory are all you need to backup to be sure to be compatible. The uifiles aren't strictly necessary but they can cause weird things if used with a different version of the exes.
