IP probs
When i go to status on my internet connection it says:
Device name: Lucent Win Modem Device type: Modem Server type: PPP Transports TCP/IP Authentications: PAP Compression: (none) PPP mulitlink framing: off Server IP Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Client IP address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx which is the EXternal and INternal IP address im confused about the whole IP thing. I thought client is EXternal and Server is INternal but there probably not sence i know nothing about IP address. Thanks |
I guess i am kind of confused why you are asking. What do you mean internal IP and external IP address?
What ar eyou trying to do? I am assuming you have some type of router and you are differentiating between your computer's local IP and the router's IP. But then again, this doesn't make much sense if you are using a modem (which is possible but i find unlikely). |
