pls explain this to me.... i downloaded the scorpious patcher from the site no problem. right after i downloaded it, i ran the live patch just like it said. i then realized that when i patched the other day i got the 6-30 patch. so i did a system restore to a day before i patched...it seemed like it worked. I re-downloaded the patcher from the scorpious site then patched to live... like i expected it gave me the files to download. i did that and it gave me the the 6-30 patch again. i thought it would sork since i started from scratch and followed the directions exactly. I ran EQemu , got to the server select screen and pressed play for scorpious2k once again, just like before i got the 1070 error that said i need to re-run the patch, just like i changed nothing... could it be that the scorpious patch isnt compatible with the 6-30 patch? even though nothing in the game was changed, only the option to buy legends was implemented in LIVE. any ideas????? thanks

I just tested this by patching a directory to live, then running the patcher.exe from Scorpius2K site and it works. I got a 1017 the first time, but then made sure I clicked on the Logon/Play Everquest buttons, rather than hitting enter which can sometimes default to 'Quick Connect' which sometimes doesn't work.

hmmm did you patch to live and get the 6-30 patch? if you did, could u tell me step-by-step how you did this, which folder you put the scorpious patcher into??? i'm not too familiar with these different patcher files and where to put them. oh, and did you download the patcher before you patched to live? thanks

Patch to live
Download patcher.exe from Scorpius2K's site to your EQ directory
Run patcher.exe and click 'unzip'
run your shortcut to eqgame.exe patchme, or use eqw and untick the 'patch' checkbox.

And yes, I patched one of my directories to live today, after you posted your question, just to test if it worked.

I just patched to live on my kids puter and ran the patcher again to test for ya got in with no issues.

ok it didnt worked...... let me clarify a few things:

--when you say eq directory, you just mean the window that pops up after i click save on the download box, no special folders?

--and what is eqw?

--and i should download it to my EQemu directory and not my EQ directory right?? i still play live from time-to-time

Download patcher.exe to the same folder that contains the eqgame.exe that you run to connect to the EQEmu servers. Then double click on patcher.exe and it will overwrite the files in that directory to be compatible with the DR6 servers.

ok, now i'm geting pissed....

when i save patcher.exe to my EQemu file , should i overwrite any file when i save it or just save it and make a new file ?? there is a file in my directory named "lpatch" and then another one named kpatch then a third named ppatch fourth named vpatch i think once i figure out the exact place to save the file to, it should work... thanks again

Just save it as patcher.exe ... a new file. lpatch,kpatch,vpatch and ppatch are the Luclin, Kunark, Velious and PoP patchers, don't overwrite them. Once you save it as patcher.exe, just double-click it to run it.

i did that and unzipped the files...after that i patched to live and still got the 1017 error....now could it have anything to do with that eqw thing?

Patch to live. Then run the patcher.exe. Don't patch to live again after you have run patcher.exe. You should create a shortcut, as decscribed in step 4 here:

That will bypass the SOE patcher.

ok i was trying to test it last night and see if it would work or not... all of a sudden our power went out. When it came back on the computer was messed up and i just got it working a few hours ago. I'm just gonna start the whole EQemu directory thing all over from scratch and maybe it will work....

well, it works.... i feel so stupid for my problem....i was patching from my EQ live folder rather than my EQemu folder... i just got on a minute ago.. it works : ) thanks for your help all

well im having the same problem i did everything that was said in the post except i crash everytime i try to log in just gives me crashing error ive gone through everything and it still doesnt work...its annoying me even more so since i was did fix that magicaly worked and then a few day later the computer i had it working on died...anyways any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated
