How come there is only three servers showing?
Is it safe to patch up-to-date now?

You are using the 5997 login server, which is the old one. The only active server still using it is Winter's Roar.

EQEmu is not up to date with Live, so it isn't safe to patch, no.

Actually, the old login was 5997, the new one is 5995.

My bad, got them mixed up.

I am having the same problem, and changing the login to 5995 did not fix it.

Please post the contents of /everquest/eqhost.txt and if available a screenshot of your login list.

I will just post which servers are showing up.

guildwars (locked), winters roar. tavis's world and one other server which name I can't recall atm. I have tried changing the port to 5995 and it won't even get to the server select screen.

That is the old login servers and it uses the old login method. You need to patch and use http://www.eqemulator.net/eqhost.txt but patchin makes it incompatible with the Emu right now.
