Newbie not successful in getting eqemu to run
 

Hello, I just registered today, and tried to install Eqemu as well.

I have made a copy of the whole EQ dir for eqemu.

I downloaded http://mjstc.com/temp/Eqemu5.7DR4.zip this to my new eq directory for eqemu and extracted all the files there.

I changed the eqhost file to 5995 (but dunno how to make it read only)

I downloaded the eqclient file I found in a link in the help center and replaced the one in the eqemu dir on my pc.

I set up an eqemu account and it is activated

I created a shortcut and in target: added patchme after the path.

Now when I click the eqemu short cut it apparently launches the regular log in page for eqlive (no patcher prior to that though)

When I try to log in there, it just sits there and has that logging in window coming up, but nothing happens.

I'm totally new to eqemu, so I do not even know if the log in is the same of different.

If anyone has any advice, I'd be greatful.

Having same problem only I crash to desktop after 4 seconds.

EQ patched today.

Although that doesnt matter much it was already still broke from the 22nd patch.
