patch info, help!
 

Hey all, okay, just reinstalled EQ to play this a fwe days ago, got everything installed up to PoP. Yes yes i know the new patch makes EQ crash so i cant play because of that reason now, but is there any other changes that i need to make to play that i can get done with now instead of doing it all once the new patch is made able to play with? I want to get as much stuff as possible done to get it to work. Thanks

For Playing on someone elses server, all you really need to do is update the eqhost.txt, unless you are playing a really custom server. Check the servers website you think youll be playing on for the downloads you may need. Besides that, no. Not really.

If you want to make a server, tons. Get a zoneviewer, write down some locs, get the EQ Admin Tool by Windcatcher, make some npcs, quests, new zonepoints, go crazy, >.<

Hey, thanks for the info, im going to probably be playing on scorpius2k server, so i went to their site and DLed what i needed, now i guess i just gotta wait to see if there is going to be a fix for the patch that happened on the 16th, otherwise i cant play hehe. I just wish i knew enough about this stuff to help.

Make a copy of your EQ Directory specifically for EQEMu and only patch when the board says its okay, as suggested in the rules section >.<

Ive already done this hehe, but its kind of ironic, i just reinstalled EQ to play, i started downloading the patches on the 15th (i believe the day before the patch that messed everything up) and i have dial up internet, so it continued over to the next day, when i started the download again, i guess it picked up the new patch, but i didnt really have a choice hehe.
