Working Server?
 

I've been messing around with different servers and clients for a long time now, and have on several occasions had no problems setting up a server. However, on no occasion have I actually been able to connect to it.

I guess my question is - is there a set of clients/servers that you can readily download right now that actually work together, or will I have to wait until a new version of EQemu server comes out?

Yes. correct. According to eqemu rules nobody can freely distribute client files. If they do they are not allowed to advertise or link to it from here, for legal reasons.

Check on the Scorpious2k server, some people there I know are more than willing to help you.

Winters Roar website has some help too... well anyhow, I dont know much about the server legal stuff, but I would think that if you legally owned EQ, and the person who gives you older EQ files should be able get them... anyhow, have fun on EQ, read other support threads on help connecting.
