How do i take away WR files?
 

Ok so when i log onto eqemu, all i get server wise are: A downed guild wars server, Winter Roar's server, and 4 other misc servers that noone is ever in. Now i am thinking that when i patch for winter's roar it automaticaly puts me to where they are hosted? How do i get back to where all the other servers are on? Thanks yall.

first in foremost.. i have to say this. I cant blame you.. lol

but.. before patching anything do yourself a favor...

1. patch to Everquest...
2. then patch however you got it to work the first time..

cant say here how to do that exactly

3. then burn you some cds with the info on that.. the whole directory.. i zipped mine up.. and used winzip to split the files so they make about 5 cds..

now if you want.. note i said want.. to play WR or another server.. just patch using thier patcher... if you ever .. i mean ever want to revert you have the cds..

sorry it messed it up.. some patching servers should have a file revert. but *sigh* they dont

To log into the other login server you have to patch to live in order to get the newer login process dlls. But the live patch is not compatible with any of the servers so you won't be able to play if you do. So I'd stick with the one server you can play.

QQ that sucks, yall prolly get this a lot, but any eta on when they are going to be updated with live? if not dont even answer hehe.

unfortunately.. there is no eta on this.. i remember a post made or on the news .. saying.. it could take a week to never... but im sure in their spare time they are trying hard to get to live.. lets just keep our fingers crossed

There is a way to revert back to the earlier patches but I unfortunately cannot tell you.. and I believe someone made a post that may not work anymore.. Tell you what.. I really want you to play the other servers instead.. so PM and ill try to help you out with info... maybe with both of us thinking we can come up with something lol

You can revert if you patch to live, then run scorp patcher... least it did for me, WR was cool, but gets boring fast it's even less rewarding than EQlive.

Good idea on the burning the CDs~ whenever it gets working, it'll only work like a day before it doesn't work for another 6 months so I'd burn it on 5 CDs, put them in a lockbox in a bank, burn 5 more give them to your grandma, burn 5 more, etc!

lol i think i made a post on another post about the cds as well.. as far as WR i really didnt want to point out a server.... or a patcher.. but you are correct... lol so if the mods get mad.. HE SAID IT not me lol...

but you are absolutely correct about the patching...

by the way a really good thing to do is what i do...

1. one folder to live
2. one folder to eqemu
3. one folder to any other server
4. one folder for your private server..

thats what i have .. exempt #4 if you are not into that.. from time to time i like going into perl and creating quests.. when im really bored

Venom, i have nothing against WR devs, or anyone on WR, i wonna play somewhere else because i pay for eq and have already had like 4+ years of building chars and such. Thats why i came to emu also, so i can get my jollys in, just wanted to put that out there, i have nothing against WR peeps.

I just find it funny you come here with the soul purpose of putting down WR, and deny it like a hypocrit.

one of the rules of this board is not to put down another server or have personal vendeta... which i havent really displayed at all... or have i? but then again a rule on this board is not to be flaming people that asks questions oh well i guess we all break rules ..
