I have noticed a few things going on within the last month and a half.

Five or more of the key devs (well the ones that really matter) have eather been kick or quit for some reson.

I may not have power or a fancy title..
But I am apart of the EQEMu project.

I have a few questions:

Why is everone leaving? (please feel free to brake it down)
Is the project forking? (if so, why?)
What is going on with thr forums?
Why didn't image want melwin to be an admin?

Its getting hard and hard to belave that EQEmu is a team/open Project...

First of all, few misconceptions. Image is the only actual coder that left, and he hadn't worked on the EMU for months.

Everyone isn't leaving. Lots of people vied for attention by saying they were, then didn't. Examples: Xabob, Draupner, Zkhava, etc etc. The only person who has actually left so far (besides image and n00b) is Lisc.

No. The project is going rather strongly.

Nothing in particular. The recent drama surge made a lot of people who thrive from drama and insulting people to feel superior to the surface. It'll calm down soon enough.

Eh, it isn't my place to put words in his mouth, but what he said was essentially that he didn't like Melwin, and since he considered it his project, popular vote didn't apply.

Did he leave or was he kick?
And i know dev/noob just didnt get up and leave.


What about Baron-Sprite... I have been talking with him in IRC.

There are a few things I know and a few I don't know.

He pulled a drama stunt, took his toys and left. dev/noob was (admittably unfairly) banned along with him, but it turned out to seem not so unfair after all.

Baron-Sprite, I think is leaving, though he's done more in the sense of a community dev than sheer code, at least the last year or so. (He still did a lot)

Draupner didn't really do much at all.

dev/n00b hadn't coded for... longer than I remember. He wasn't even a dev when he left.
