need some help please
 

ok well i just got EQ yesterday and i followed Melwins guide and it whenever i use the shortcut with the patchme added to the line it goes into everquest and when i click account like the guide tells me to do, it just takes me to SOE's EQ account site. i know that since my game has the patch that was reliesed after the guide, the emu wont work but shouldnt the game still send me to the site that is mentiouned in the guide? also will a newer version of the emu be made to work with the new update? if not how can i get it to work? thanks alot in advance and feel free to flame if this is a newbish question lol

Well make sure it is the EQgame.exe file not EverQuest.exe file.
and make sure your EQhost is eqemulator.net:5994 to play the newest and latest EQEmu.

saw that i should change my eghost to eqemulator.net:5994 , i just wondered if i have to patch to live after 14-09-2004 for it to work, or am i still not supposed to update to live?

ok well im able to get into the game now but after i chose a server and select my charictor, it always times out or just boots me back to the server screen
