Cant Connect to Login Server
 

I got my Username and password registered, but when i type them in it goes to a small box saying " Logging into Server...Please Wait..." it takes like 5 - 10 seconds and then says that it connection could not be established, please check your internet and make sure your online.

I know my internet is fine and i just downloaded the new eqclient and eqhost file from the eqemu website. Anyone have any clue why it cant connect to the login server? I cant get past Login screen and i know the Username / Password is correct. Any help would be appreciated. 8)

I'm having this same problem. I downloaded the most recent eqclient and host files, threw them in the patched EQ folder and I can't connect to the EQEmu login server.

Can't even begin to guess what's wrong, read and reread the guide from http://humme.dk/eqemu/playguide.html.

Any help on this topic would be great.

yeah im having the same problem i think mine is because my ip wont be read by the Update Authorization Block u might want to start there

Do not use the 5996 loginserver anymore, it is going away.

The 5994 loginserver does not require the authoriztion block update, it has full crypto support on login.

If the server you want to play on is on the 5996 login server, then tell the server op to update and move to 5994 ASAP.

I can still connect to 5996 but 5994 is still refusing to connect to the login server. I'm using the last patch prior to 9/14. Going to get a live patch and see if that helps. Otherwise, open to suggestions. Been playing on 5.8 now for over a week with no issues.

Fixed the problem. I updated my server to 5.9DR1 (no code changes) and I can now log in fine on 5994.
