St. Helens

Mount St. Helens erupted today. I happen to live in wash...got to see it up close(well....50ish miles away). Heh...it was cool. Anyone else live in wash that saw it?

Nope, but I remember the first one, twenty some years ago... Was super crazy. Police baracades, ash plowed off the highways with snow plows (sometimes much higher than the car) And a greyness everywhere felt like you were one the moon.

I'm away at school, so it's not so exciting for me, but we have some ash in a jar from the '80 eruption. I think it's cool. :)
