AOL users can authenticate..
I posted this on a few of the threads but I figured I'd make a new thread for it since it seems to be a common problem
To authenticate your account using any provider be it cable, dial up or aol or wutever just use a proxy. Goto www.spaceproxy.com for more information if you dont know howto set up a proxy, its very simple you dont even have to sign up for anything. Turn on the proxy before going to the login site than make the account and authenticate it immediatly, than log in using your account that you just registered. worked for me and my friend -cheers Nipples,61st warlord of Eros soloer of Avatar of War, nagafen, rivervale, PoD, lodizal,etc... |
Aol Uses a default proxy server when you go out from the web. That is why we had to do this. They do not run RFC complient webproxies, so there is nothing we can do unless the user does as you suggest. I put in Proxy finding code in the scripts last weekend, so it should help everyone that is using a "nice" proxy (ie, not AOL).
