Questmaster 5000
I have made a simple random quest generator for my own use and decided to spiffy it up a little so others can try it out. I used it because I wanted to do quests that I didn't create. This could also be used to pick and choose which npc wants what item and what the reward is for them. I created this so that the item to turn in must be a nodrop item and must be off of a loottable. This will work with customized items and npc's I believe. This will take an npcid number and automatically put the quest in the zone folder it belongs in. This doesn't have to be in the quest directory, the folders could be copied over. Keep in mind, if a quest already exists for a certain npc it will be overwritten if this is in the quests directory. If anyone would like to try it, you can download it at:
http://schoppe.webhop.net/questmaker/qmsetup.exe odbc drivers http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/3.51.html I would like input on what features you all would like or anything that could make it better. |

Version .4b released
I have a new release for Questmaster 5000.
Additions/fixes include: Item Reward Options - Min/Max item cost/value limits Item Turn-in Requirements - Lore Items Yes/No Zone Selections on Item turn-ins - Can now select which zone the random generator will pick npcs from. Can also pick a different zone for the generator to pick items from the loot tables within. Fixed the way the turn-ins are picked, no more spectral parchments on half of the npcs. Put the program in a nice setup program, dont need to copy files to the system32 dir anymore..... You can download the setup program from: http://schoppe.webhop.net/questmaker/qmsetup.exe This program also requires the MySQL ODBC db drivers get it at: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/3.51.html Please make me aware of any improvements you seem fit. |
