can someone save my elf?
 

last night i tried to go to some gm event in the east wastes. little did i know i didn't have that file. SO.... now he is stuck in an area that i can't access. can someone save my elf?

Use the patcher to get the expansion/file.

do #movechar CHARNAME ZONE

at char name put the chars name at zone put the zone you want him to be in like

#movechar someguy Gfaydark

I don't think it's their server. Sounds like they were playing on someone else's. I think the best bet is to just get the file from the patcher.

so where or what is this patcher you refered to? sounds as if it could be my only hope.

The everquest patcher. It comes with everquest. =) Change your shortcut back to everquest.exe rather than eqgame.exe patchme and then click (whatever expansion east wastes is) under the advanced and expansion list, and then download. You'll get all the zones for that expansion.

EQLive patcher, but dont patch becuz it'll break you

Oh, true dat... uhh.. make a backup copy of your folder before you do that. Then, after you get the file you need, stop the patcher, copy all .dlls and .exes from your backup directory to the directory you just patched and that'll fix you, too.
