Still having timed out problems
 

Hi, I am still geting timed out when trying to log on. I have checked everything. And it is right, but I am still geting it, anyone know why? Any help, would be great.

Check your firewall.

Sygate banned my own server because I zoned too many times in a row. they called it a portscan.

Firewall is completely off.

I don't know what to do now, I have done about everything possible.... Unlesss Someone wants to send me their host file, and a few other files that might conflite this problem.

My eqhost.txt works:

Right Click and Save/As over your eqhost.txt rather than copy and paste it.

delete eqmain.dll and repatch with everquest.exe and then try again

Use that eqhost.txt file that Derision posted, i've been having the timeout problem for a while now, and that fixed it for me.

I'd say watch the dates of the posts. This one is from 11 of 2004 so figure stuff has changed since then and the file was probably removed. I was just checking to see what the host file should be and looks like 5998 so far anybody able to confirm?
