other Emu's?
 

Sorry for making a new post, since I'm SURE stuff like this has been already posted, but I couldn't really think of any keywords to search for in the forums and google searches haven't payed off, so here goes.

What other games have "emulators", like EQEmu? I've heard that Anarchy Online had something like it, but since AO is giving out free accounts for a year, I see no point in it, any more. Also, I know WoW fans made some servers back in the beta days and Blizzard asked them to shut them down, but I don't know if they have a new one (although it probably breaks their User Agreement).

I'm not going to quit EQEmu, but was just wondering what I could do to pass the time while waiting for the devs to catch up to EQLive :)

I know, but I'm still interested in other Emus.

you can go to runuo.com and play ultima online to pass the time UO doesnt have it where your emu needs to be caught up with there current patching

Well once I got bored with EQEmu I went around and searched for other emus and started playing on a certain Lineage 2 emulator. As far as i know, any mmorpg that has ever been really popular, has had at least one emulator based upon it.

By the way... Lineage 2 sucks a lot and I dont recommend playing it unless you have a lot of time on your hands and you feel like doing too much of the same...=/ the emulators dont do it much good if you really think and ponder upon it...most of them are identical to live...except for all the Korean farmer peoples.

I didn't test it yet. But it seems to be great

ragnarok online has already been emulated. and if i remember correctly, is more updated than those being run in other countries.

am not sure, but i think i also came upon a group working (or starting to) on ffxi
