we started using the emulator but followed all instruction but we can get as far as creatin a character then it says enterin world and goes back to the character select screen could someone tell me how to fix this

The patch Verant did on wed. broke the emulator, you will have to wait till the dev's finish updating the emu to work with the new files.

Did patch mess up LAN playing as well?
hope so, or else I suck.

Think of what patches and what the devs do in these terms:

The EQ client and the eqemu server are 2 people talking. When Verant patches the client, it is like 1 person switching to another language. The dev's then have to figure out and translate the new language before the client and server talk again.

In other words EQemu 3.1.1 will NOT talk to ANY clients patched after 5-8-2002 regardless of if it is on the came computer, lan or on the internet. You will have to wait till the dev's finish updating the emu.
