Robotron remake
 

A group of enthusiasts are in the process of remaking the greatest game ever created, Robotron. For those of you who have never tried it, beware: few games will give you a more severe butt-kicking. It's only a work in progress at the moment, but their site is located here (with downloadable binary):

It's playable, but it looks like you can't die at the moment. Still, they've recreated the gameplay extremely well. And they're even doing it in Delphi :)

According to the screen shots, that game was before my time. Care to write up a breif summary of what it is?
