Personal Server creation for you and friends only

how would this be done?
just throw my personal IP into the EQhost.txt and use the Admin tool to create accounts?
i don't have the Emu working yet (found out about this place AFTER the patch.. DOH)
and i vas just wondering :)

best way is publiclogin way. you should read my thread on howto and find lurker's batch file to automate it to make it easier.

but wouldn't that make it possable for others to join outside of myelf and company?
i doubt i'd be able to handle more than 5 people on the server, i'm running about 256 meg of ram short of an Uber machine and my connection is split between 3 comps.
or is there a way to Pword protect it?

It will only allow the accounts YOU create, and you run the loginserver on your machine, you server won't show up on the eqemu.net loginserver.

having trouble connecting
 

I'm having trouble connecting to the login server i make with the public login. for some reason the worldserver won't connect to my ip when I put it in there. any idea what causes this?

Copy and paste your config files, and server screens here so we can attempt to figure out what is wrong.
