Ok guys, I created this thread to propose an idea that I have given alot of thought to... This summer I plan on spending alot of money on a dual p4 server with 2 stick 512mb DDR ram... I plan on using this solely for an EQEmu server that I have envisioned. My problem is I need staff. MYSQL is confusing the crap out of me, but I have a pretty firm grasp on how the Admin tool works. Anyways, if you would like to join my team there is a list of jobs below. Since the server will be based on Egyptian Mythology all of the staff members will be know as Dieties, or 'The Pantheon'... Below is the list, and you may apply for the job if '*OPEN*' is located next to the job Descrition. Send your applications to osmosys_@hotmail.com. Also, I have a very experienced HTML Coder working with me on the page, and I will also be running the page off of the server. Be warned, this is a long term process.

Those staff members who fill the requirments will be hired, first to volunteer. Be prepared for many changes from the regular EverQuest server, including a revamp of most quests and new quests added. Also I have not decided whether or not to make this a PVP server or a No-Loot drop server or what. Please post ideas and opinions.

*NOTICE* All Staff members will have a character on the server with full GM/Guide capabilities, and may create their own personal character for game-play. The use of GM/Guide characters to help an alternate character gain wealth is forbidden and those who break this rule will be taken off of the project.

I love your concept ! Be very interesting to see it implemented.. I don't think there will be enough desert zones in the game to support it ! Why not throw another pantheon of Gods in there (Norse would be a blast), then you could have a PvP team deity server! The Barbarians versus the Egyptians!

barbarians would leave in everfrost and velious , egyptians in desert zones and all other zones would be where we would fight for take over ;)

You could have a mob factory in each zone owned by the faction that had last taken over the zone. A zone take over could be as simple as assassinating a Prime Minister/Local Regent, or tougher for better zones. The mob factories could produce troops, and/or weaponsmiths that could upgrade your troops weapons and armor based on how much plat you had accumulated via taxes and genocide. Maybe you could even buy specialized spellcasters, healers, wizards, conjurers, etc.. Eventually, depending on the god you were aligned with, you could ultimately overthrow the opposing pantheon then wage war against yourselves..

There can be only one!

These are the kind of ideas that I need from developers, send an application if you guys are interested in getting serious.

I really like that idea... Thurgadin as the major temple to the Norse Gods with, and I dunno, Freeport as major Egyptian city, since partially in the desert. This could work out quite nicely... Or now that I think of it, Cabillis may work well since it borders the Field of Bone... BUT THAT'S WHAT I NEED DEVS FOR SO APPLY!
