can anyone help get me started on making a server?
 

:( could anyone help me like tell me a tutorial to make a server id like to work on a server for me and some friends we really loved this game wen we played so id like to work on this sever alot if u got any info please tell ;) TY

If you go back to the main forum page, there is a giant section called tutorials.

also make sure you have a good enough computer to host it. I used in the past Windows 2000 Advanced Server, and had EQ installed and had everything setup nicely.

I am not sure if Win2k server can handle EQ server based on server requirments (I was not able to run EQ EMU on 64 MB RAM, I recommend a minimum of 768 MB RAM)

EQEMU is'nt windows dependant...
You need only a processor (better is, you can make more zone servers) and many many many ram :p
Windows 98 can handle 512mo ram and you can use it :)
For more player you need windows 2000 or better (need this for up the memory to more than 512mo).

OR

You can use linux :p
It is free, can handle many ram, more quick, but you need to have some skill for install it :)
